Okay, I'm not talking about the wigs of old. You know the ones--stiff, too big and you couldn't get away from the bangs because how else were you going to disguise the fact that you were wearing a wig?
Why do you think every wig-lover loves herself some lace fronts?
Today's wigs, however, have improved a lot over previous generations. You don't have to stick with that straight Tina Turner (circa the Ike and Tina Turner Revue) look. You'll find wigs in curly, wavy and even kinky textures. They can be short, medium and of course, very long.
While I have yet to successfully wear a wig, I know they're perfect for those times you want to switch up your look, but you don't want to cut your hair or you just can't wait for it to grow. The stigma, too, of wearing hair that's not growing out of your scalp, seems to have lessened. Nowadays, it's not uncommon to see women sporting wigs or weaves that are so huge and voluminous, you know they aren't trying to fool anybody. I guess they just like having all that hair on their heads.
Beverly Johnson has a lace front line that contains some pretty realistic wigs. One of these days, I might jump on the wig bandwagon, if only for a night. How about you? Have you tried the latest in wigs yet?
