You may view hair trims as a necessary (or not so necessary) evil, but the fact of the matter is, the more we do to our hair, the more important pampering and preventive maintenance become in order to maintain optimal health.
Some of us will need more frequent trims than others. For example, a woman whose hair is 100% free of chemicals and is never subjected to direct heat will probably require fewer trims than the woman who wears blonde color and uses her flat iron a few times a week. In the latter instance, the color and heat take a toll on hair, especially the ends, which are older and usually drier.
If you still need some convincing, these 3 signs that you need a hair trim may be able to help, especially if you're reluctant to reach for those shears. In most cases, a trim can do your hair a world of good. Remember, truly healthy hair is much more than just how it looks.
